One of just 808 fiberglass-bodied examples produced by Carrozzeria Scaglietti before the transition to steel bodies in June 1977, this early 308 represents a highly collectible and rare variant, further elevated by extensive performance upgrades. Power comes from a 2.9-liter quad-cam V8, comprehensively modified by Berlinetta Motorsports (Huntington, NY). Enhancements include a twin-turbocharger setup with intercoolers, a programmable electronic fuel injection system, upgraded pistons with reinforced rings, F40 head gaskets, revised camshaft timing, and refinished engine components with polished cam belt covers. The driving experience is equally enhanced with upgraded braking and suspension systems, including larger rotors and calipers, braided Teflon brake lines, and a fully refreshed suspension with rebuilt shocks, new wheel bearings, CV joints, and bushings.
